Have you ever wondered how many festivals there are in Iowa.

over a 2 year period . They occur from Jan. – Dec. They include
festivals that celebrate our heritage which include the Dutch in Orange City
and Pella, the Norwegians in Decorah and the Irish in Emmetsburg. There
are festivals that celebrate famous Iowans like John Wayne, Glenn Miller and
Meredith Willson. There are even festivals celebrating food like Ice
Cream Days in LeMars and Sweet Corn Days in Elkader. Then of course there
are many fairs including the two largest , The Iowa State Fair In Des Moines
and Clay County Fair in Spencer. The book includes 2,000 great pictures
of the events the author attended. So if you are looking for something to
do on any weekend or perhaps need ideas for next year’s vacation , this book
has plenty of ideas and is a fun read.
